If your LLC/S-Corp is registered in one state and you move to another, you will need to register your existing LLC/S-Corp in your new state as a "Foreign Entity" (i.e. an LLC/S-Corp from another state).
You must always keep your original state's LLC/S-Corp registration active, as well as your new state's registration as a "Foreign Entity".
WARNING If you register a new LLC/S-Corp in your new state, it will have no attachment whatsoever to your active LLC/S-Corp & existing business.....You will have to change your bank accounts, your auto-pays, your invoicing/merchant accounts/software, send updated w-9s to all1099 issuers...literally everything will need to move to the new LLC. This is not the easy button.
State Payroll Agencies must be opened to collect & remit state payroll taxes for any & all employees living in that state. This can be overwhelming and challenging, we recommend that you outsource this work to our team at CorpNet. Please contact us for our link to discounted/reasonable pricing.
NOTE - Remote/Virtual Employees, i.e. employees who live & work in another state, triggers a "physical presence" in that other state. A Physical Presence means that the new State will require you to register your existing business from your home state, in the new state.
